Answer: No, the Uniform Building Code/International Building Code (UBC/IBC) require that flat plastic skylights slope a minimum of 4 on 12, meaning, for every 12 inches horizontal, the roof must rise 4". For flat roofs, you would have to slope the curb.

Answer: Condensation occurs when warm moist air rises and comes in contact with the cold aluminum, causing moisture to form on the metal. All Sunoptics double dome or greater skylights come standard with a vinyl insulated thermal break covering all the exposed interior aluminum, greatly reducing condensation problems. Note that some homes may have such a high concentration of moisture inside that some condensation may form.
